There was a very interesting story in the morning paper about a man who had just inherited 50,000 dollars. The newspaper article was quite detailed. It said that the man always behaved very strangely. What others liked he disliked and what most people enjoyed he hated. He didn't bear the sun, but he took long walks in the rain without a raincoat or umbrella. He always saw the black side of everything. He found fault with the best picture of the year but he stayed up late watching very old films on TV.

Last week his uncle died and left him 50,000 dollars. Perhaps the uncle had been rather strange too. Or perhaps he had known about his nephew's strange preferences - one of them, anyway - and decided to try and cure him. In his will the old man insisted that the nephew should spend half the inherited money within the next two years. In case he didn't do that the money would be given to a university. Everyone wanted to know what the nephew would do. You see, the thing he hated most of all was to leave his money.

What was the uncle's will?

1) His nephew should give half of the money to a university.

2) His nephew should spend part of the money within the next two years.

3) His nephew should send all the money to a university.

4) His nephew should spend all the money within the next two years.
